A new exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History explores a variety of Earth’s bioluminescent organisms. From luminescent mushrooms to deep-sea fish, the exhibit explores the diversity of bioluminescent creatures and delves even deeper to explain the science behind such creatures’ luminescence.
Of the exhibit, Ellen V. Futter, President of the American Museum of Natural History, says, "The exhibition will take visitors to such fascinating places as a bioluminescent bay and the far depths of the ocean, explain why and how certain animals create 'living light,' and help us all better understand the vast and glorious ecosystem of which we are just a part."
The exhibit will open March 31st.
