If you are nuts for nudis, then might we suggest you enter this contest to name a nudibranch.

Co-hosted by The Australian Broadcast Corporation’s Radio National and the Western Australian Museum, the “Name this Creature” competition offers you the chance to make your mark on natural history by naming a newly discovered species of nudibranch.

The contest encourages you to meet the nudibranch first, in the video below, and then to come up with a name. The genius name is already determined as Mordilla, so you’ll need a species name to go with that. Might we suggest Moridilla godzilla?

It appears the contest is open to residents of Australia only, offering a pretty sweet prize: An all-expense paid trip to Perth with a private tour of the Western Australia Museum for a chance to see the nifty nudi up close.
