Beneath The Sea 2010 International Imaging Competition Winners Announced
By Matt J. Weiss, February 16, 2010 @ 11:22 AM (EST)
This is a great time for underwater photographers because it's the time of the year when the competition winners are announced. Although it is usually amateur photographers that win the contests, the photographs end up being some of the best and innovative we see all year. The Beneath The Sea International Imaging Competition is one of the major competitions, and I am impressed with some of winners creativity. I expect it to be a great year for underwater photography! Congratulations to the winners. Below is a note from BTS as well as the winning images.
The BTS International Imaging Competition is open to underwater photographers and videographers throughout the world. Beneath The Sea is a federally tax-exempt (501(c)(3)) organization incorporated as not-for-profit in the State of New York and all proceeds from the Imaging Competition go to further BTS’s goals to (1) provide continuing education to the recreational diver community, (2) educate the public in the benefits of protecting the ocean environment and (3) support ocean and environment related projects and charities.
