With the announcement of GoPro’s branded flat-port housing, our friends at Backscatter have passed along their development of a “Flip-Up Color Correction Filter” for the dive housing.
This custom flip-up color correction filter features a unique mount that allows users to add or remove the red filter for land and water use, or as color drops off depending on depth. The filter can be mounted with any modification to GoPro’s dive housing by the user and will not vignette in any shooting mode.
Shipping is expected for late June 2012 and pricing is yet to be announced.
Backscatter is still going strong with its Custom GoPro Housing, which allows underwater shooters the flexibility of the housings 55mm filter threads for polarizing and split neutral density filters.
The company even hinted at a future release of a macro wet-lens attachment for the critter fanatic. Current Backscatter accessories for their housing also include a custom handle ($39) made to increase stability with a comfortable foam grip and a tripod-style mount.
