GoPro fans—try not to “flip” out with this news.
Our friends over at Backscatter have announced that their Flip Magic Filter for the GoPro Hero 3 is now available for pre-order. Like previous models, the Flip 3 system boasts the “same professional craftsmanship,” but also comes with a cool new feature: An optional second flip filter on top.
At this year’s DEMA, we caught a peak of this nifty addition, which will allow GoPro users to switch back and forth between shallow water and deep water filters—or add a macro lens for sharper detail. The company writes on their Facebook page:
“We've received our first production samples for the new Flip Filters, and they look fantastic! We expect to ship the first units in mid-January.”
The Flips are expected to ship by mid January and are now available for pre-order for $49.
