When it comes to being first to test photo gear, online media such as DPReview typically has the upper hand; after all they don’t have to wait till a housing manufacturer obliges by giving the camera in question a suitable underwater proofing. The 1D X II is put to the test in Nauticam’s NA-1DXII housing, and being Canon’s flagship full-frame 4K-capable DSLR, Backscatter also gives their take on how its video-taking abilities compare with those of the likes of Sony’s a7R Mark II and RED’s Epic Dragon.
