Australia's Shark Fin Appetite

News.com.au has reported that the Australian Federal Government has no idea where its imported shark fins are coming from, nor even how many are coming in.  On top of that, due to it's low risk on the "bio-security" scale, they don't seem to care much either.  Citing info from Hong Kong that states that since 2001 Australia has imported over 54 metric tons of fins, the Australia Marine Conservation Society is attempting to get the Government to keep a closer eye on the issue.  Read the original disturbing report here.
