The Arenui Announces Special Manta Ray Cruise in Komodo
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, March 22, 2017 @ 01:00 AM (EST)

Luxury liveaboard The Arenui has announced an 11-night “Manta Special” cruise in Komodo, Indonesia. On board will be a marine biologist and manta expert from the Marine Megafauna Foundation (MMF) to tell guests all about manta rays.

Guests can be actively involved in “citizen science” and help with the protection and conservation of mantas while diving in one of the best spots in the world, as well as be a direct part of MMF’s conservation efforts in the area, as The Arenui will be donating some of the proceeds from the cruise to MMF.

The cruise isn’t just about the mantas of places like the famed Manta Alley. As one of the Coral Triangle’s biodiversity hotspots, Komodo offers schooling fish at Castle and Crystal Rock, drift diving alongside colorful soft corals, turtles at the hard coral reefs of Tatawa and Siaba, and the weird and wonderful critters of Cannibal Rock. And, of course, there’s also the friendly Komodo dragons that roam the beaches!

The 11-night cruise starts in Bima on September 17 and ends in Labuanbajo on September 28. Both harbors are easily accessible via a short flight from Bali.

Email Arenui for more information.
