AOI has announced new accessories for its UIS-P1 and UCS-Q1 strobes. The new SNT-03 and SNT-04 optical snoots are compatible with the UCS-Q1 range of strobes and the UIS-P1 strobe, respectively, while the new FC-02 float collar is specifically designed for the UIS-P1 strobe.

With its aluminum alloy, polycarbonate, and fiberglass construction, the UIS-P1 strobe is solidly built but slightly negatively buoyant underwater. The FC-02 float collar makes the strobe neutrally buoyant, reducing arm fatigue and providing better control for fine-tuning strobe positioning.

The new optical snoots, tailored for their respective systems, provide precise creative control via stepless apertures: The SNT-03 for the UCS-Q1 range of strobes offers apertures from 4mm to 30mm, while the SNT-04 for the UIS-P1 strobe offers apertures from 8mm to 45mm, giving users the freedom to dial in the exact beam size needed to frame their subject.

The snoots have a streamlined, minimal design to keep your rig agile underwater, so you can stay focused on your dive and your subject, while the aperture can be adjusted with a single hand for maximum convenience. The snoots are designed to allow the strobes’ target light to remain highly visible, and the optics promise to transmit the full power of the strobes’ flash.
