It's a new year and that means endless possibilities: weight loss resolutions, quitting that pesky nail bitting habit, and for underwater photographers a chance to win a prestigious competition. The 2011 Scuba Diving Photo Competition is just this chance.

This installment of the annual competition features the new category of "divers" along side the traditional macro, wide-angle, and animal behavior. While each category boasts its own set of prizes, the competition's grand-prize is a seven-night trip on the Dancer Fleet's Sundancer II in Belize and $1,000 in spending cash.

The deadline for the competition is April 22, with the winning entries earning a spot in the August 2011  edition of the Scuba Diving Magazine. More information can be found at the competition entry page.
