Adobe has announced the latest versions of its simplified photo- and video-editing software, Photoshop Elements 2021 and Premiere Elements 2021. The latest releases, which emphasize leveraging Adobe’s Sensei AI technology, “build on powerful automation and guided editing features,” which are the hallmarks of the Elements applications.
Photoshop Elements 2021 boasts several new features. With Moving Photos, you can create animated GIFs with 2D and 3D motion with only one click. The Sensei-powered Adjust Face Tilt automatically tweaks the position of a person’s face. The Quote Graphics feature allows you to use preset templates to add messages and quotes to your images. There are also three new Guided Edits in the photo-editing app: “Duotones,” “Perfect Landscapes,” and “Move, Scale, and Duplicate Objects.”
Premiere Elements 2021 brings a couple of new features as well as improved performance. The extra power promises high-quality playback of effects without rendering first and a faster experience when cropping video. The new Select Object feature allows you to select a specific object or area and apply an effect that tracks throughout the video. You’ve now also got more choice if you want to put music to your videos: An additional 21 new tracks have been added. Finally, the video-editing program gets two new Guided Edits: Double Exposure and Animated Matte Overlays.
Available in the fourth quarter of this year, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2021 cost $100 each or $150 as a two-app bundle. Upgrades of individual apps cost $80 or $120 for the bundle. Mac users require macOS 10.14, 10.15 or 11.0, while PC users will need Windows 10 version 1903 or later.
