With the latest updates to Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, Adobe has brought the photo management tool into new territory—you can now tweak your video clips using the same sliders that you use to edit your images. The new functionality allows you to copy and paste settings between your photos and videos as well as use presets on your footage. Simple trimming of video clips is also possible.
Preset functionality across Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom versions also sees significant enhancements. There’s now a preset amount slider, which allows you to adjust the strength of presets applied to photos and videos. Adobe has also introduced a new class of presets called Adaptive Presets, which use the AI masking technology from the Select Sky and Select Subject tools to automatically target particular parts of a photo. Masks in general have also been updated, with the ability to invert mask groups as well as copy and paste AI-powered masks when batch editing.
Other new features in the Mac/Win versions include the ability to compare photos side by side, new browser-style forward and back buttons, and improved local storage management.
