With less than two weeks to go before the 30th anniversary edition of the Asia Dive Expo—better known as ADEX—organizers have released more information about the scheduled events and the impressive lineup of speakers presenting at Asia’s “largest and longest-running” dive show.
There’s plenty for underwater photography enthusiasts to get, well, enthusiastic about. This year’s VIPs—Very Important Photographers!—are none other than legendary National Geographic shooters David Doubilet and Jennifer Hayes. Sharing the Image/Film Stage with them will be a raft of other well-known names in underwater imaging (many of whom are DPG contributors), such as Annie Crawley, Tobias Friedrich, Shane Gross, Brett Stanley, Erin Quigley, Berkley White, Jim Decker, Michael Aw, Nicolas Remy, William Tan, and Aaron Wong.
This year’s show is dedicated to the “sustainable blue economy,” and the Sustainable Diving Think Tank Workshop and the Sustainable Diving Dialogue, which are organised by The Reef-World Foundation, will offer the opportunity to hear experts “discuss environmental challenges, exchange insights, and explore innovative solutions.”
Of course, alongside the presentations and on-stage events, visitors can expect halls packed with the leading diving equipment manufacturers, underwater imaging gear brands, and resort/liveaboard operators, not to mention tourism boards, training agencies, and marine conservation organizations.
The event runs from April 12th–14th and tickets are available here. Check out the press release below and head over to the ADEX website for more information.

Championing Marine Conservation and Promoting a Sustainable the Blue Economy
Singapore, 28 March 2024 – Asia Dive Expo (ADEX), Asia’s largest and longest-running consumer and trade show proudly announces its key milestone of 30 years dedicated to the preservation of our oceans and the promotion of a sustainable blue economy. Since its inception in Singapore in 1994, ADEX has been at the forefront of advocating for marine conservation and fostering practices that support the health of our oceans – encouraging the public, diving enthusiasts and all dive industry stakeholders to put sustainable practices into action and help preserve our blue planet. To date, close to one million visitors around the region have attended the dive show.
- For three decades, ADEX has served as a platform for conservationists, divers, diving enthusiasts and industry leaders to come together, exchange ideas, and take concrete steps towards protecting marine ecosystems. From dedicating the show to vulnerable and endangered species to driving education for children, ADEX has consistently emphasised the importance of preserving biodiversity and the delicate balance of marine life – fostering a new generation of enthusiasts and stewards of our oceans.
- “I aim to lead and inspire the coming generations of ocean lovers, divers and industry players to change the way they view our oceans,” said Mr John Thet, CEO, Asia Dive Expo (ADEX). “I will continue to support this industry through the Underwater360 group, and work relentlessly to inspire and encourage people to fight for an ocean we can all enjoy.”
- Over the years, ADEX has established itself as a trusted Singapore brand and has achieved many firsts in its long history of advocating for marine conservation and sustainable marine development. In 2012, it was the first dive show to break attendance records of 31,000, and in 2014, it was the first dive show to introduce freediving to Asia.
