After the success of first ADEX Pixel Virtual Expo in early May—which replaced the usual Singapore event due to the pandemic—the organizers of the next ADEX India have announced the premier South Asia dive expo will also be taking place online.
The new event, which is from September 11–13th, will use the same digital platform—ADEX Pixel Expo, or APE—to connect ADEX “attendees” to the dive industry in India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Like the first APE show, the ADEX India Virtual Expo will feature various presentations, talks, panel discussions, and workshops via Facebook Live and Zoom. Areas of focus include South Asia’s best dive destinations, sustainable tourism, and the marine pollution resulting from the pandemic.
The event makes use of ADEX Pixel Marketplace, a new dedicated platform that aims to allow exhibitors to present products, resort and liveaboard trips, promotions and special offers to participants digitally.

PRESS RELEASE
ADEX INDIA ENTERS ITS SECOND EDITION WITH A VIRTUAL DEBUT – ADEX INDIA VIRTUAL EXPO 2020
Connecting South Asia’s Dive Industry to the Global Diving Community on September 11 to 13
SINGAPORE, AUGUST 17, 2020 – Underwater360°, the organiser of the Asia’s largest, and the longest-running dive show Asia Dive Expo (ADEX), together with partners, Events Solution (India) and High Rise (Maldives and Sri Lanka) is proud to announce its second edition, to be premiered as ADEX India Virtual Expo 2020 on September 11 to 13, on the ADEX digital platform – ADEX Pixel Expo. Convening the various industry sectors, thought leaders, key decision makers and communities from the world of diving, marine and ocean conservation on a single knowledge-sharing platform, ADEX India Virtual Expo 2020 aims to connect South Asia’s – India, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, dive industry to the ADEX global diving community amid the times of pandemic and global travel restrictions.
“COVID-19 pandemic and the global travel restrictions have brought many challenges to the dive industry. As we see the need for an event where the local dive industry could connect, grow, and expand their businesses to the world; while divers from around the world could explore, aspire and plan for the next dive trip to India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and other dive destinations in Asia. Thus, with a unique situation we are in currently, the second edition of ADEX India Expo 2020 will premiere as a ‘virtual’ show this year on ADEX Pixel rather than a physical show in Mumbai.” says ADEX’s CEO and ADEX Pixel Virtual Expo’s Project Director John Thet. “The world’s dive community has plenty to explore and discover about the diving scenes in India, Maldives and Sri Lanka, and how passionate the divers are in growing the local diving community! We witnessed it on the inaugural show and are very driven by that ‘passion’. We have an exciting virtual show that hopes to inspire everyone to the sport and the diving spots in India, Sri Lanka; and with Maldives reopened its border to international tourism last July, divers should be able to travel and dive very soon.”
