As ADEX prepares to celebrate 30 years as the “largest and longest-running dive expo in Asia,” the organizers have announced exciting new partnerships involving the US and Australia.

The first is a collaboration between ADEX and Beneath the Sea, America’s biggest consumer dive and travel show, which aims to “grow their respective dive communities by using their platforms to promote each other’s consumer dive shows.” With the second, ADEX will join forces with OZTek in March 2025 as the Sydney International Convention and Exhibition Centre hosts the inaugural ADEX Australia in combination with the OZTek Advanced Diving Conference.

ADEX CELEBRATES ITS PEARL JUBILEE

ADEX marks its 30th anniversary with the  Pearl Jubilee ADEX Ocean Festival 2024, reinforcing its commitment to a sustainable blue economy. This platform, dedicated to the oceans, aims to foster sustainable solutions, awareness, and community-building. Highlighted by the “Voice of the Ocean” live judging, and its expansive ocean gallery display, it offers a deep dive into ocean advocacy, education, industry innovation, and solutions.

“This year is special for us, and we want to celebrate it in a big way, with everyone,” says John Thet, ADEX CEO. “We want to be at the forefront to promote best practices of all stakeholders to make a positive impact on our oceans and communities, and we invite everyone to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable future,” he added.

ADEX and BENEATH THE SEA ALLIANCE

Asia’s (ADEX) and America’s (BENEATH THE SEA) longest-running dive shows have also joined forces to Educate, Engage and Entertain the dive industry. With a combined 75 years’ worth of show and exhibition experience, Singapore-based ADEX CEO, John Thet, and Executive Vice President of New York-based Beneath the Sea (BTS), Maria Hults, have agreed to work together to grow their respective dive communities by using their platforms to promote each other’s consumer dive shows. This hugely consequential collaboration promises to further raise the profile of recreational diving and marine conservation issues across the two most globally important regions of the world.  

ADEX and OZTeK COLLABORATION

In addition, the combination of two tried-and-trusted show powerhouses have come together to create the first fully recreational dive and travel show in Australia, to be held at the Sydney International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Hall 2, on March 15 and 16, 2025.

The OZTek Advanced Diving Conference will celebrate 25 years, and continue to focus on the latest developments and technology in diving. Synonymous with diving excitement and adventure, the conference will feature an international cast of speakers – each an acknowledged expert in their respective fields of diving expertise.

“We must present a united front, in order to make a stronger impact and spread the message to the public about sustainability and conservation, and how the oceans play a vital role for our survival,” says John Thet on these partnerships.

The show will also honour the various brands and events that have sustained the industry all these years. Panel discussions, presentations and various events are being planned for the celebrations, and the public is invited to partake of these activities.
