ADEX China 2017 Beijing and Shenzhen Beginning Soon
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, August 21, 2017 @ 01:30 AM (EST)

If you find yourself in China in early September, you’ll have the opportunity to check out the Chinese version of the popular Singapore dive show—the Asian Dive Expo (ADEX). The show first came to Shanghai in 2014, and ADEX China is now coming to both Beijing and Shenzhen—the first time it’s being held in the latter city just north of Hong Kong.

For more information, see the press release below and visit the website at www.adexchina.cn.

PRESS RELEASE

Less than two weeks to ADEX China 2017 Beijing and Shenzhen!

From 31 August to 3 September, ADEX Beijing will take place at the China International Exhibition Center (Jing'An Museum) Hall 5, organized in partnership with Shenteng (Beijing) Science and Technology Trade Co. Ltd. It will be held in conjunction with Beijing Ocean Week, a series of festival celebrations with an educational focus on conservation and diving, supported by The Pacific Society of China. Everyone who is everyone will be there, from tekdivers to freedivers, our amazing photo/video speakers to gorgeous merfolks. Not forgetting one of our biggest highlights, ADEX Voice Of The Ocean Competition 2017 Live Judging with our panel of world-renowned judges!

The China International Exhibition Center (Jing’an Museum) is one of the nation’s first exhibition centers, being ranked as part of the “Top 10 Buildings” in Beijing in the 1980s. In 1985, it hosted its first “Asia-Pacific Expo”, which preluded China’s modern exhibition industry boom. The exhibition center houses 8 pavilions, each boasting an indoor area of 53,000 square meters and an outdoor area of 7,000 square meters. With over 30 years of development, it annually hosts more than 100 small and medium-sized exhibitions with its impressive measurement of over 1 million square meters. With the highest occupancy rate amongst exhibition venues, the China International Exhibition Center has been widely welcomed by both foreign and domestic exhibitors, making it a fitting location to host the dive industry’s biggest expo in Asia, just as diving begins to make waves in China!

After ADEX Beijing, the festival format of Ocean Week will be transferred to Shenzhen, kick-starting the Shenzhen Ocean17 Tour. As a film, book, image, art and music festival, there will be various activities, exhibitions and workshops taking place. This is an opportunity for divers and others to get recognition and publicity for their efforts and achievements, and to open the minds of our audience to their amazing work! The festivities signal the beginning of ADEX Shenzhen 2017.

This will be the first time the expo has been held in the south of China. It will take place at the Shekou iFactory from 8 to 10 September 2017. Shekou is the first export-oriented economic development zone by China Merchant Holdings. Shekou iFactory itself occupies almost 50,000 square metres of space. Formerly a float-glass factory, the iFactory has been reformed into an innovation-orientated creative centre, focusing on art and technology. We chose this area because it is a focal point of activity and energy.

With the latest gadgets and kit being offered by our exhibitors, along with speeches from leading figures in the dive community, the iFactory’s hip and creative vibes make this a fitting location for the introduction of ADEX in Shenzhen. People from all over China—and the world—will be coming to the event. Hong Kong borders the region to the south, and so expect to see famous dive enthusiasts from the island make the trip to Shenzhen! And let’s not forget the stars of diving in China, such Dada Li, ADEX’s freediving ambassador.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your tickets only at www.adexchina.cn! See you there!
