The 2017 Sony World Photography Awards are now open and accepting entries. The competition is broken down into four primary categories: professional, open, youth and student focus.

If you want to enter the “open” section, then you have a selection of specific categories to choose from. For underwater and travel photographers, take note of the “wildlife,” “travel,” and “nature” categories. Prizes include $5,000 in cash, Sony digital imaging equipment, and having your work exhibited at the Somerset House in London.

The deadlines to enter the competition are staggered based on the submission type. Student Focus entries are required to be submitted by December 5, with Youth/Open following on January 5th. Finally, Professional entries are accepted through January 10th.
