28th Underwater International Image Festival of Mayotte: Competitions Now Open

Competition season isn’t over yet, mes amis! The organizers of the 28th Underwater International Image Festival of Mayotte (Festival International de l'Image Sous-marine de Mayotte) have announced the opening of their competitions.

There are actually four competitions—the film contest, the still image contest, the music contest, and the drawing contest. Per the Google translation, “professionals, amateurs, insiders and budding artists” are invited to “take up the challenge of sublimating the treasures hidden under the sea.” Clearly, something has been a little lost in translation, but you get the idea!

The competitions close on April 14, 2023, and the event will take place from May 25th to 28th in Mamoudzou, the capital of the French overseas territory of Mayotte. So, fire up Google Chrome, head over to the FIISMM website, click “English,” and get your entries submitted today!
