Rear Curtain Sync
A setting on SLR cameras that, technically, fires your strobes the instant before the second curtain of a focal plane shutter closes. Your camera?s default setting, first curtain sync, sets the strobe to fire immediately upon the first curtain opening, thus freezing all the action. The effect of rear curtain sync allows for any moving objects and light sources to blur while your strobes freeze the primary foreground subject
