July 2011 Photo Contest

DPG is very proud to announce the winners for our July monthly contest! The theme for last month’s contest was “behavior” and the winner of the $150 cash prize is Adriano Morettin!

Adriano managed to capture one of the most photographed behavior underwater- a symbiotic cleaning. With the crisp colors and stark black background, his image captured the attention of the judges.

Second place went to Goos van der Heide, who framed a lemon shark dental appointment. Mat Yie took home third place with the ironic image of an octopus hiding in a can labeled “do not litter.”

Again, a gracious “thank you” to the judges of this month’s contest: DPG editors Matt Weiss and Joseph Tepper, along with award-w inning photographers Steve De Neef, Mark Fuller, Jeff De Guzman, and Keri Wilk. Congratulations to the winners and all who entered.
