August 2011 Photo Contest

DPG is very proud to announce the winners for our August Monthly Photo Contest! The theme for this month’s contest was “The Color Blue” and the winner of the $150 cash prize is Tobias Friedrich.

This is Tobias’s first gold finish in the DPG contest series after multiple second and third place finishes. Judges were impressed by the simplicity and light quality on the first place shot of a shark shot from directly above. Tobias also took home second place with the silhouette of a diver in a cave. 

Third place went to Marcello Di Francesco for his fantastic close focus wide-angle image of a blue nudibranch in front of a sun burst.
