Biography of Underwater Photographer Todd Mintz

Todd Mintz is a multi award winning Canadian photographer who began photographing underwater in 1996. He attained his PADI Divemaster status in 1997 and since that time has traveled the world with his camera, never hitting the water without it. Todd has won numerous International Photography competitions and Best of Show in the Nature's Best/Smithsonian Ocean Views 2008, SEA2004 and SEA2006 Competition and Scuba Diving Magazine 2007 International Competitions also placing in the prestigious Nature's Best/Smithsonian Photography Awards in 2007. His images have been published in books, magazines, newsletters and websites including a Magazine covers shot on Nature's Best Magazine, Sport Diver and Scuba Diving Magazine. One of Todd's images was also the home page image for PADI.com for a number of years. Todd is contributor and Senior Moderator on Wetpixel.com. Todd's travels regularly take him to British Columbia, Canada to photograph the abundant wildlife above and below the surface. Todd attributes a great deal of his development as a photographer to the people around him. Their encouragement and willingness to give advice has allowed him to hone his photographic art. Thanks guys. It was a magical dive and most definitely one of my most favourite ever done. Funny that the only marine life I saw on the dive was the jellyfish. Usually I prefer lots of life in the water.
