Biography of Underwater Photographer Stan Bysshe

Just retired so now I have the time to learn how to be a photographer.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
Some one who enjoys diving in warm water on coral reefs as much as I do

Yes this is an older version but if you can get them second hand you will not be disappointed. This flash has a warm natural light and is very rugged. My pair is still going strong after many trips and 1000+ dives. I have never had them fail and of course like the newer product they pack easily and are not heavy. Since the addition of the Z240s you should be able to find the 220s at a nice price.

My second Aquatica housing, the D2x is more refined and much easier to set up. This is a heavy rugged case which is a definite plus if you do a lot of diving. Further Aquatica has all but the esoteric accessories. A great photographic tool made better if you add the AquaView.

I agree. It would even greater to see a Nikonos VI
with a SB 106. In this day and age of weight restrictions for travel wouldn't it be amazing to have a easy carry on set up ? Would need a macro lens though, don't miss the framers !

There is nobody I enjoy more than AM when looking for an honest, thorough evaluation of a Nikon product for underwater photography.
His pros and cons regarding Fx vs. Dx are based on actual shooting conditions and I don't have to look at images of rulers/color charts.
For now he has also saved me some money because until I can make my D2Xs shots rival his, I don't need the D3!
