Rogest (Ron G Steven) Rogest\'s work has been in articles and portfolios and featured on the front covers of publication all over the world, he is an author (A fish In My Heart). An ardent supporter of the environment, Ron has worked closely with DAN both in the USA and Australia. He has donated his work to O.W.U. Scholarship Society, Conservation International, Ocean Pals, Oceans for Youth Foundation, REEF, Catalina Conservancy Divers, W.W.F., and the Marine Mammal Care Centre in California. On a personal note, Ron likes to think of himself as a PIRARTIST¬Ě, a combination of artist and diving pirate. Rogest is his pirate name; RO is for Ron, GE is for he doesn\'t want to say and ST is for - well, you get the picture. Many years ago, Ron changed his career path from a man in a business suit behind a desk to a dive instructor in shorts working on liveaboard dive vessels. Years later he finds himself painting the underwater critters from the thousands of exceptional dives he has experienced world wide, but primarily on the Great Barrier Reef, Coral Sea, Papua New Guinea, Caribbean, Tahiti, Mexico and the colder waters of the west coast of Canada. The brilliant colors and bio-diversity of this underwater environment has undoubtedly influenced his paintings. The vivid underwater images he has experienced have burned a vibrant seascape into his imagination. This is the source of Rogest\'s inspiration. Rogest has always admired the Australian Aboriginal style of dot painting and has been wonderfully influenced by this style. His images are gladly donated to any environmental cause. Please feel free to ask, if you have a good cause. Rogest aims to get people to, Think locally and act locally.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
As a diver and an artist, I look for just one key element in any and all of the dive operators I use book and travel with . Its a people business and if the staff are well trained, care and have a true passion for the operation they are working with , I know I will have a great time and so will my invited guest..
