Excellent, tough housing.

Purchased this camera as an alternate to the Olympus C-5060 in an Olympus housing just in time for a trip to Western Australia. Perfect small camera for in the jeans pocket--and since it was water-resistant to 33FSW, no problems if the elements turned rainy on me.
Bought the housing for it while in OZ, and took some spiffy, touristy U/W shots of a local dive buddy while he was hunting cray. (Tasty cray, if I may add.)
Two days later, I fell tumbling down the stone embankment at South Mole in Freemantle with the camera in it's housing inside a thigh pocket.
I broke my ankle; the 8000 and Olympus housing for it came through without a scratch, and continue to work well nearly four months after the accident--both above and below the surface.
If you want a good travel camera that can take punishment, I can highly recommend the Stylus Tough-8000 to you (be sure to get the housing as well; you won't regret it!).
Just don't go field testing it like I did. Hospitals are dull places to spend half your vacation before flying home. Of course, that gives me an excuse to go back to Australia--and you can bet the Stylus Tough-8000 will be going back with me!
