Having just returned from a dive trip to Grand Cayman, i did dive Stingray City and we were asked by the dive shop not to handle the Stingrays, which all of us complied with. However, the stingrays got over-excited by the feed box and i came away feeling extremely uncomfortable with the experience. I know it is a source of income for Cayman and the diveshops, but it was obvious that the stingrays were becoming reliant on being fed and were coming in numbers up to 20 individuals. Although it was a nice opportunity to photograph stingray, it still wasn't the same challenge and didn't give me the same satisfaction as my pics of "wild" stingray. It is not something i would repeat or encourage other divers to experience. There are much better dives to be had on Cayman.
