This was my first encounter with a oceanic whitetip, Carcharhinus longimanus, at the east side of Daedalus reef - Abu kizan - Red sea. What a beautyful animal. This is a juvenile shark without pilot fishes, about 1.5 to 1,7 meters approx. Our diveguide told use that you can see at the position of the angle of the pectoral fins, how the animal is to estimate. Horizontal position means a quite relaxed shark, more downward position and hectical moves means a quite angry and huffy shark.
