After hearing so much about diving Indonesia, I finally got over there last year, and it is truly amazing diving. I was so proud of my mantis shrimp images until I saw this . . . okay now you can't just have a mantis, you have to have the eggs, too! I'm on my way back . . . Is this seasonal?

I just finished my blog on Diving Bali, where I talked about your work with nudibranchs, as well as putting a link on my blog site to your work here at Dive Photo Guide. If you get a chance to visit, the link is http://kandfotoblog.typepad.com. Now I will need to write about your snoot photography. Great work!

Steve, your work is just amazing. Its like spinning into a vortex. Next to photographing nudibranchs, I love creative images. You should write an article for Dive Photo Guide explaining how you got this photo and some of your other work, such as the eyes of the Thorny Seahorse. I bet it wasn't easy!

Another nice shot, and a very interesting composition. I have several pics of a thorny seahorse but none like this.

Great shot. I need to try this snoot photography when I return to Lembeh in November, 2011.

Your DOF on this nudibranch is incredible. How do you get such DOF? I always get some blur into the photo using a Nikon 105mm.

That is an amazing shot. How often do you see a nudibranch's eyes? Your work is incredible.

Just returned from Lembeh. The information you provided in this detailed article on Lembeh was most valuable to say the least. I can't believe the incredible bio-diversity of Lembeh . . . and the night dive . . . well the creatures I saw and photographed were some of the strangest and exotic I had ever seen. Some were so foreign to me that I almost forgot to actual photograph them. I just watched in awe as they moved around the sea bottom.
The dive guides were the best. We liked it so much that we are already planning a trip back in Nov, 2011 for two weeks with a side trip to Buyat Bay, and then onto Western Australia.

Thanks for sharing. . . I will be there in November. I have never dove Indonesia. Looking forward to getting the cool critters.

Mark, this image is very well done. You "rolled the dice" and came up with NO Snakes here! You have captured fish behavior, good composition, nice lighting, and, most important, an uniqueness of having two baby trunkfish in proximity of each other. Good luck in the contest. And even though I'm competing too, I wanted to comment on your pic.
