This was the sight after my friend and I had just ended our dive at Monastery Beach (aka mortuary beach) in Carmel, Ca. it had been a fun twilight-y dive as many of the rockfish species were coming out into the midwater column, but it was still light enough to see a good 30 ft or so underwater and not forcing us to use lights yet. My friend's ear was having some trouble so we surfaced early, but seeing this neither of us was sad for coming up sooner than we had anticipated
