It's a belting shot Jim. Worthy of a free dive trip! Dray and I were busy last week taking night dive photos from the stern and they turned out pretty well. Obviously it's all down to the talents of the model primarily, but Dray can also take a pretty good photo which helps. Have a great Christmas. James

I have been using the Canon G9 with the Canon housing for over a year now and am truly impressed by the images it takes. The resolution and sharpness are first class and the macro function is simply superb. The only drawbacks I have found over my time are those that are common to compact cameras - the focus can take a while, the shutter lag is not too bad but still needs to be planned for and the lack of additional lenses is a real limitation. The G9 is still a fantastic camera though, and now that the G10 and G11 have been launched, there are some great deals to be had on the G9. If you want more control over your underwater photography, but don't want to have the bulk and expense of an SLR, then this is the way to go. The manual functions are simple to use and allow full control over a shot whilst the housing is small enough to be unobtrusive on a dive.

Highly recommended
