Biography of Underwater Photographer Jackie Stone

I\'ve been diving my entire life and shooting photography on and off. Used to shoot with a Nikonos V and still trying to get better with my digital camera. Hope to get an SLR soon!

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
Boats with room to move around, small groups, dive guides to help me find wonderful things to photograph, fresh water and snacks on the boat.

I love Bermuda and this is really upsetting to hear!

I use rechargables and don't seem to have a proble. Every so often they take a little longer to recharge between strobes shots, but usually they are ok. Besides I can't carry too many non rechargable. But I hope more batteries are becoming ecofriendly like this.

I hope that the potential environmental hazard is minimal. Must have been a scary experience for the passengers. Happy to hear that they all were safe. My biggest fear is a live aboard catching fire.

I love Socorro and Solmar. I went diving with them a few years back. Maybe I'll hop on this trip too, I wouldn't mind going back. The mantas are huge and friendly. Best manta diving in the world if you ask me!

That's a scary story. Do you really need to backup if you leave it on the memory cards? I usually just take a bunch of memory cards and don't even download them until I get home. Is that not advisable?

Keep your strobes far from the housing or you will get some really nasty backscatter! Practice - wide angle require tons of it!
