Excellent compromise if you cant afford a full SLR setup. all manual functions are available. It is much better then the later G10 & 11 in my opinion since it has got higher video res. (1024 instead of 640).
Excellent image quality & sharpness.
Video quality is very decent for a still camera, a bit grainy though, but you cant have it all for such an affordable price.
Highly recommended purchase.
