Biography of Underwater Photographer Francesco De Marchi

Born in Milano, Italy in September 1961; diving since 1978, more than 5000 dives logged.
Started UW photography in August 2008 with Canon G9 and upgraded to Canon 450D in October 2008. Concentrating in UW macro photography but considering CFWA (willing to buy Tokina 10-17 fish-eye zoom and Hugyfot fish-eye port)and available light WA with filters (Magic Filters).

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
Flexibility in dive schedules (dive sites choice and dive duration), skilled dives guides used to work with photographers, small groups, boats fitted for hpotographers needs.

IMHO the best housing money can buy for your Canon EOS-450D !!! Very light and compact, a huge selection of ports at an affordable price, wide selection of accessories (port adapter, focus and zoom gears), many customization available (Hugy-check system, TTL-converter, Nikonos, E6 and fiber-optic bulkheads) a very snug handle systems that is easily detachable form the housing and comes with standard "ball joint" connections, secure bayonet port mounting, closing system with no latches and o-ring that needs to be removed and grease each time you open the housing (the Hugyfot o-ring does not need caring or greasing !!!) .... Need I say more ??? Go to your local Hugyfot dealer I try for yourself !!!!

Helmut, I love the light in this picture !!! Did you use a snoot to reduce the light beam ???

Very light and compact, thus ideal for travelling. Use 4 AA batteries and can by fired by fiber-optics, which is cheaper and more reliable (less water ways) than electrical cords. The perfect strobe to start with either paired with a PS or DSLR camera.

Very compact and ideal for travelling; the compact size also allows very easy placement in tight conditions such as super-macro shots; can be operated bot electrically and via fiber-optics. Higly recommended

A real value for money !!! The ideal camera to enter the DLSR word; would appreciate a thirds grid over the viewfinder.

A very easy lens to use: fast autofocus, no hunting and very good sharpness
