Biography of Underwater Photographer daniel norwood

In the short time that I have been diving I have become addicted to capturing images of the underwater world. I currently dive with a compact camera and have been lucky to travel to some fantastic destinations and improve my photographic skills with a variety of different subjects. I love to shoot any type of shot from big pelagics to tiny critters. I plan to continue to dive and improve and hope that I can produce many more fantastic images in the future!

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
Considerate dive guides who understand the needs of an underwater photographer and have a genuine passion for diving!

Hi Bob, sorry for the delayed reply. I am based in the UK which is an easy 12 hour flight directly into Male. From here it is a simple taxi or boat taxi journey to a hotel in the capital (only around 15/20 mins) Depending on your departure point it is then a small plane journey to your destination. I found the immigrations & baggage experience hassle free and never had any problems with my camera equipment or other baggage although I did not travel with my own diving gear, just wetsuit and mask. I really enjoyed the Maldives and would like to go back one day!

I dived here for around 4 days and saw up to 50 turtles on some dives there are just so many around! Not so sure how easy to see them mating, I was lucky to spot around 6 males chasing this 1 female but it was the only time I witnessed this behaviour. With the huge amount of turtles here though I'm sure seeing this is fairly likely!
