This is a great macro lens that produces some outstanding shots. Unfortunately, because of its size and need for a separate flat port (Subal), I rarely take it with me on overseas trips, and instead use my 60 mm.

For macro shooting in my home waters of Puget Sound and British Columbia, it is great.

This is my workhorse lens. Great for critter "portraits." Much more forgiving than my 105 macro.

Good wide angle lens for use underwater. I need to use a 2x diopter with my Subal dome port for virtual image focus. Some of my best ray and shark shots have been taken with this lens.

Like others, moved from a Nikon 10.5, and have not been disappointed. This is an outstanding lens.

Have taken my two 125 set-up in many different temperate and tropical locations, and they have performed very well. Thanks to TSA's removal of an O-ring, I had a floor while rinsing gear after an overseas trip. Ikelite's service was both exceptional and quite reasonable. The 160's look great, but my 125's are still performing beautifully on everything from nudi's to great whites.

Super camera, especially with a Subal housing. The only time I have the problem Peter described is when I am on continuous focus and there is a lot of detritis in the water. Switching to single usually resolves the problem.

This is a superb housing. Egonomics and buoyancy are exceptional. This is my second Subal housing, and I have never had an issue with the bayonet port attachment. I have both the single TTL cable and manual cables, and once again have not had any problems or issues with the o-ring/screw down attachment system.

The only modifications I have made are to replace the handles so I can mount arms and strobes on them, rather than on the housing. I use a quick release so I can pop a strobe off the handle for different lighting effects.

To me the biggest negative is price, but the unit is so well manufactured I will keep purchasing Subal gear. Subal's glass optics are also superb.

Yes, we have not seen them in these kinds of numbers for years. There are hundreds and hundreds in our local dive park.

I could not find a good specimen for a book I published in February. Now they come out!
