Chris D. Ross

As a young boy, Chris Ross always dreamed of being a marine biologist and idolized underwater explorer Jacques Yves Cousteau. While in Graduate school at Brooks Institute of Photography on the California coast, the dream was realized. The Channel Islands became his underwater studio and to this day a favorite place to dive. After school he move to Atlanta and is one of the foremost underwater photographers on the east coast. He shoots for commercial clients such as Mercury Marine, O'Neill, Indian Motorcycles, Sports Illustrated, and Outside Magazine. The oceans are where his deepest passions lie. Chris Ross' photography expresses the delicate balance between man and the sea, and is stylized with the use of shape and form.
