Biography of Underwater Photographer Carlos Minguell

Carlos started uw-photography in 1992 and since then he has won more than 100 uw-photo competitions and photo contests. After 2 World Championships and 9 Spanish Championships, he is now co-owner of OCEAN-PHOTOS, where he complements his activity as a professional uw-photographer giving uw-photo courses, workshops and seminars of all levels. His images and articles have been published in more than 60 magazines all over the world, as well as in many books and calendars

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
Professionalism, experience and good knowledge of the seabeds, animals and waters. That is probably a good summary of what I expected from a dive operator. As uw-photographer I specially appreciate that dive masters give us freedom enough underwater for doing my work. On board trips are my favourites because you get more time underwater and usually better diving places. A good and safety area for the uw-photo gears is a priority whereas other services such us meals and room comfort and services, although interesting, are less important than diving services, especially when I am in a working trip. Travel services, good connections of flights and so on are also important because we usually travel with a lot of luggage.
