Biography of Underwater Photographer Brandon D. Cole

Brandon Cole is a wildlife photographer specializing in the marine environment. His portfolio includes one of the top cetacean files with over 25 species of whales and dolphins represented, fishes and invertebrates from tropical coral reefs to cold water kelp forests, scuba diving, and other marine subjects. Cole's photography appears regularly in hundreds of publications internationally. With a degree in marine biology and experience in underwater scientific research, he is now happiest exploring one our planet's last frontier. In recording Ocean's beauty he has traveled much of the globe, counting among his favorite locales the lush coral reefs of Southeast Asia and the current-swept, icy waters of British Columbia and Alaska. Cole spends six months of each year on boats and breathing from scuba tanks in pursuit of new pictures. He lives in landlocked eastern Washington with his wife and partner Melissa.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
Respect for one's level of experience, and willingness to assist in achieving the photographic goal. Knowledge of the local marine life and a commitment to conservation of the marine environment. And of course it doesn't hurt to be a nice person too!
