I've seen a couple of new born Baskers which were in the 5-7 feet range so at 16 feet it definitely wasn't a juvenile! In fact at 16 feet I'd say it was probably average length for the adults we see in NE Atlantic waters.

You have to laugh when they claim the cause was not global warming, then in the next sentence state that one of the reasons was a weakening of the Gulf Stream which is directly attributable to global warming!
