Biography of Underwater Photographer Shafraz Naeem
Shafraz Naeem "Shaff" started diving in 1998 and has extensive knowledge about diving all over the Maldives through his experience as a Coast Guard Clearance Diver for almost 10 years. As a Dive Instructor he has worked in various resorts and also worked with underwater film crews from around the world. For the past three years he has been more involved with underwater photography and has won the "Best of Show" in the photography contest held by the Maldives Tourism Promotion Board in 2007. He also won the 1st and 2nd place in the Underwater Category in the same competition. His underwater photographs have also been published in various local and overseas magazines.

The best time to go is between july and august. Depends on the weather and currents as well.

It was amazing videoing the mantas and whale sharks there last year. Another trip in a few days time!!! Can't wait!!!!
