Biography of Underwater Photographer Robert Minnick
I began diving just over ten years ago; twenty years into my career as a technical director in theater. My mask became a new proscenium to a show of unending interest and fascination.
After a time I developed a desire to share this wondrous production with my friends, and having once been a decent picture taker, decided to pick up a camera again. My early attempts at underwater photography were frustrating and mostly elicited many expletives.
I may have quit soon after I began were it not for meeting Chris Crumley at a dive club meeting. He helped me along in choosing equipment, and how best to use it, for which I am eternally grateful.
It is now my desire to apply the talents I developed in theater to photography, and with luck unlock the magic still present in the world for those who wish to see it.

I am extremely hard on equipment, and my Aquatica housing has proven itself up to the task. It sets up and breaks down easily for travel, and has had near zero issues on the dozens of trips I've been on since I bought it.

This picture is wonderful. I am familiar with the model thru Model Mayhem, and you've captured her here magnificently!
