Biography of Underwater Photographer Steve Williams

Steve is an underwater photographer who now lives in Tucson, AZ. He has been diving the world’s oceans since he was certified in 1968. In his over 40 years of diving he has seen the long term effects and the stress the ocean and all its wonderful creatures are under. "There is a remarkable beauty and wonder that is available to anyone who sticks their head under the waves and simply opens their eyes. I primarily use my images to open the eyes of children to that wonder. I am proud and honored to help the Fin Foundation of of Southern Arizona teach kids about the ocean." Steve uses a Canon 40D in a Sea & Sea housing as his primary underwater equipment. His new 7D is waiting in the wings for a new housing.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
I love to dive with people who understand their environment and can appreciate the needs of photographers. Also helps if rum is close by.
