Biography of Underwater Photographer Mauricio Handler

Mauricio Handler is a Caribbean based commercial and editorial underwater photographer. His body of work emphasizes his ongoing passion with unspoiled destinations and their unique marine wildlife. He is passionate about shark whales and dolphin and his collection of images from around the world is constantly expanding. For many years he was the principal underwater photography assistant to David Doubilet from and for National Geographic Magazine.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
The most important feature for me is flexibility in schedule and general services. When I offer my underwater photography workshops we tend to dive one or two places at the most yet we are there for up to five hours underwater per day. Flexibility in serving our needs is priority #1. Having a knowledgeable crew makes all the difference when diving the out of the way places.
