Sea and Sea manufactured a wonderful set of snoots several years ago. They were plastic and fit over the front of the strobe and made it look like a hair dryer. They were harder to use with film because you never knew if you had it just right, so I always had a helper aim it with me. Now with digital you can check it immediately. Also, the newer strobes have built-in aiming lights so you can be sure. I have always loved the effect. Thank you Keri for renewing interest in this fun technique. Anyone who can locate the Sea and Sea snoots will have have a treasure.

Also, it says in the copy at the top that the deadline is Jan. 29, but it is correctly stated in the rules that the deadline is the 25th. The film festival is on the 19th.

Contest sponsors do not even keep the entries after the competition. There is no further usage of the photos except to announce the winners or put a photo in an ad for the next competition, so all copyright is retained by the photographer.

Watch this movie and you will be motivated to go all the way back to your car if you forgot to bring along that cloth, re-usable bag for your purchases. I don't even use plastic bags for any produce under three items. For example, three potatoes just go into my cart. The food is already dirty, being loose in the car won't hurt one bit! I saved over EIGHT plastic bags on one small shopping trip and it ALL fit into my one small cloth bag. Imagine if we ALL this this, all the time.

Try to use the TTL more as it is a great tool. You can control the TTL output of each strobe separately through the menu so that you can adjust the ratio of lighting quite easily.
Also mention that with the Olympus strobes, you can use any shutter speed up to 1/1000 of a second.
I like the removable tray as it packs more easily in less space. I use the Ultralight tray made for the Ikelite housings. You can put a convenient handle on each side and use it instead of the strap. I put the handles on both sides for the strobe, but still use the strap on the inside of the handle. It is easier on my hand. I can completely release my grip on the camera but still have it hold on via the strap.
