The workhorse of my underwater video production fleet, the GL2 in my opinion runs circles around some of the newer HD cameras now available. I can use this camera in low light situations (ie: inside wrecks) most often without additional lighting, and obtain beautiful video. Often times the camera makes the underwater environment look a lot better than the conditions actually were, and in clear water you can't even tell there is water in the shot. Fish and animal life seem to be suspended in "air".

I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking to move up from a consumer video camera.
