Winners of 2011 LAUPS Competition Announced

By Joseph Tepper, December 3, 2011 @ 06:14 PM (EST)

Competition season is kicking into full gear again, beginning with the announced winners of LAUPS’ 2011 contest.

The overall winner of LAUPS competition was Italian Pasquale Vassallo with a stunning split shot of an octopus in a small bay titled “View from the Bay.” In the Open Category, a new category this year open to all professional photographers, DPG contributor and contest judge Keri Wilk took home the top prize with an ethereal wide-angle look through sargassum.

Congratulations to Keri and all of the countless DPG members who appeared on the winner list. If you’re itching to get your name into the competition circuit, make sure to check out the recently announced UnderwaterCompetition.com contest series sponsored by DPG and Wetpixel.
