Why I Don't Eat Seafood

By Matt J. Weiss, September 25, 2008 @ 02:00 AM (EST)

Warning-Don't read before seafood dinner..

Recently the AP covered a story of two Sacramento residents who were eating a fried fish sandwhich and one of them found a worm in the sandwhich. They got their money back and that was that. Granted the worm is not so dangerous if its dead, just pretty ridiculously gross. If the worm was alive however, it could have been a parasitic worm and been very, very unpleasent

After doing some work in Marine Bio lab work and having pulled long worms out of little pieces of fish I have decided that resteruans simply don't take the time to ensure their seafood is healthy to eat, and therefore, they may no take the time to cook it properly which could give you a nice little (or big) worm eating away in your stomach. MMMM...seafood. I mean not to deter you from seafood, only make you more aware.
