By Joe, September 20, 2011 @ 12:20 PM (EST)
Wetpixel has announced the winners of the 2012 Raja Ampat Entrance Tag Competition, and the winner is Cornelia Thieme of Gelnhausen, Germany.
Ms. Thieme submitted what on the surface appears to be a mirror image of a seahorse, but is actually composed of tiny marine creatures like Manta Rays, Sharks, and a nautilus shell. Thieme has won an all expense-paid vacation to Raja Ampat, and her tag will be featured on the BCD of every diver who visits Raja this year.

“On behalf of the judges, I would like to stress how high the caliber of the entries was this year and what a tough job it was to create a shortlist for the final 10,” said Wetpixel editor Adam Hanlon. “Congratulations are due not only to the winner, but to all those who produced such fantastic designs.”
