There is a new light at the end of the tunnel for the power hungry battery users with the release of the “Standalone Solar Chargers” from Voltaic. As underwater photographer's, we never know when we might need a charge, and these new solar powered battery chargers could end up being trip savers.
The chargers all have 4 Watts of rugged solar panels that will generate enough power to run a smart-phone and thousands of other handheld electronics. One hour in the sun will provide about three hours of talk time whilst 4-5 hours of sunshine will fully charge a typical phone.
