Video- Nat Geo’s Brian Skerry Discusses Shooting Manatee Mermaids

Nat Geo photographer and DPG’s head judge of the Our World Underwater photo contest, Brian Skerry, discusses the challenges and rewards of shooting the manatees of Crystal River in a new YouTube video.
In the video, Skerry talks about including human composition in the manatee shots to increase eco tourism and how to use the manatee’s habitat to work in the negative space. Check out the video to learn a little bit about how this Nat Geo photog captures these gentle “mermaids.”
